I had a chat with Sean Barton the developer behind the game changing Injector range of plugins for Divi.
I thought I would catch up with him on his new support system, what his plugins can do for developers, designers and noobs alike and, his plans for the future.
We also talk about the Divi Theme User Group on Facebook- what its like to help people – (Hint: He loves it!) and, he attempts to explain what a taxonomy is for the unitiated and, how his plugins can help utilize them to best effect.
I’ve know Sean for the better part of 15 years and it took me about a year to persuade him to ‘join in’ as you will see from the video – it was a good decision for him, you and of course Elegant Marketplace.
Grab a coffee and enjoy this conversation between myself and Sean – and apologies for sound quality on some of it – we had a lot of stop and starts due to jack hammers going on outside my house!!!
There are a couple of New Plugins mentioned that are helpful too. The Slick Slider Add on for Testimonials and the DIVI FORM DB Capture (coming soon).
As always, comments are welcome 🙂
Hi Andrew, hi Sean 😉 !
It would be so greeeeat, if you could add the possibility to add an attachment to the Divi form with your new DIVI FORM DB plugin :).
What a cool feature in addition to your existing ones :p. I Hope it’s feasible, because it’s so missing feature on the Divi form module…
PS. Andrew, your coffee should be cold (after 21:10 minutes) unless it is a little whiskey ;)… Sean : “Your testimonial can show nothing” (at 24:06 min), love that 😀 !! But, I’m not really sure to need a plugin for that 😀 !!
Amicably,
Pierre.
This was well worth a listen. I hadn’t realised how useful the Layout Injector plugins actually are. Custom Post Types, Taxonomies and the best/easiest way to style archive pages with the Divi builder have all been issues on which I was a bit foggy, but am much clearer now. It could all be so easy! Fantastic that Sean now has loads of documentation and a support ticket system on his site for all the plugins he makes as well. Thanks Sean and Andrew.
