There are many more than five reasons why I think Divi is great, but I am going to list five and feel free to jump in with your own.

Page Builder – It’s what originally brought me to Divi and it’s still what I appreciate the most about the theme.  If you have a theme you love, consider using the Divi Page Builder Plugin!  Best of both worlds.

Elegant Themes  – I often read in the Facebook Group people complaining that there are too many updates.  The upside is the development team are beyond dedicated to the product.  They are continuously updating, enhancing, adding, providing, I don’t wonder EVER if the theme is keeping up with WordPress or other advancements in web design.

The Community – The Facebook Group associated with this website has 26K users with 14.5K being active in the past 28 days.  You know what this means?  Help, ideas, sharing, some laughing, a virtual water cooler, talented colleagues.

Cost Effective – You can buy Lifetime access to all the Elegant Themes themes (Divi is just one in their stable of 87!) and their premium plugins (the aforementioned Divi Builder, Monarch which is for social sharing of site content and Bloom which integrates with loads of email platforms) for $249!  The Lifetime access allows you unlimited installations.  UNLIMITED! I can’t even tell you how many sites I have used Divi on, at least 100, probably more – dollar cost averaging (yes I paid a little attention in accounting 202) that is $2 a project.  Seriously think about this, how many things could you create with a materials cost of $2?

Integrated Learning – With other themes you are often digging for documentation on the most basic functions, changing fonts or link colors.  Elegant Themes has invested a load of effort into education via the built in video tutorials throughout the theme.  This is great for you if you are learning, or your clients.  Many clients don’t want to have to ring you to change their holiday hours or add a blog post (and do you really want to spend your days with 10 minute fixes?), they simple click a button and there’s Nick Roach explaining things.

What hooked you into Divi?  What’s your favorite feature?  It’s a snow day in my co-ordinates, I’d love to chat about this.

EIleen Lonergan
Eileen Lonergan was an integral part of this company. Unfortunately, Eileen Passed away on the 31st of October 2018 after a short battle with Cancer. She leaves behind the legacy of the Divi Theme Users Group and hundreds of people that she helped through coaching, building outstanding websites and just being - accessible. We miss her every day!
