Notice: This plugin has been officially deprecated with the release of Divi 4.13 because a large number of these icons are now part of the Divi core and continuing to include this plugin could introduce inconsistencies. Thank you to everyone who has supported the plugin over the years and the mission to help make Divi the best it can be!

Divi Icon King gives you access to almost 2000 Font Awesome and Material Icons directly in the Divi Builder, so you can easily apply them to blurbs, buttons, galleries, and more natively, right from the Divi Builder.

With all of those new icons, it’s going to be a lot to sort though to find the find the one icon you’re looking for – that’s why I’ve built custom filters AND a search box so you can quickly find the perfect icon for your element.

Most other icon plugins are great about helping you to load libraries like Font Awesome on your website, but actually using the icons involved writing custom CSS for each icon you wanted to use.

And if a client wanted to change an icon? That was a whole ordeal.

Compatibility

This plugin IS compatible with both the Divi and Extra themes.

In the Visual Builder, the icon search and filter functions showcased in the video are disabled, however the icon selection is still available with all of the icons (based on which icon packs you choose to activate in the settings).

This plugin uses Font Awesome 4.7.

This plugin is compatible with the Divi Breadcrumbs module as well as the Divi Web Design Slider Animate plugin.

If you purchase this plugin and find it’s conflicting with another plugin, definitely let me know about it and I’ll do my best to make the plugins compatible. I want Divi Icon King to play nice with as many 3rd party Divi plugins as possible. We’re all in this together!

Forward Thinking

This plugin was built without creating any custom modules that would need to be maintained, meaning it’s compatible with all of the core Divi modules that let you choose an icon for something.

It also means there is less potential for conflict and I wouldn’t be surprised if it even worked with 3rd party plugins, providing they follow Divi’s coding practices.

Checked my site today only to see all divi icon king icons have changed. This is a big problem.

    • Andrew Palmer

Have you contacted the vendor via the support tab on the product page? Might be an idea to check caching as well.

    • hello33

Hi Oliver, I received your ticket. No updates have been pushed to the plugin recently so I think it’s perhaps something else going on with your website. We’ll continue to help troubleshoot it and figure out what is going on via the ticket you submitted. Thanks!

  2. Marika Arovuo

It seems the Icons on the pages are messed up, when ever the SW is being updated to latest version. Can you please ensure that icons will stay the same, through version updates.

    • hello33

Hi Marika, unfortunately yes it’s possible the icons may have changed places on your site updating to the latest version of the plugin and for that I’m sorry. This shouldn’t be an issue on future updates.

Version 1 was actually missing an icon or two from the material icon set due to an export error from the provider and this was corrected in version 2.

Based on the way Divi handles icons this would cause the icon list itself to be altered (since we’re adding one more icon to the list) which would causes Divi to load the incorrect icon (Since the icons changed places in the list).

You just need to set the icons again and save your page and you’ll be good to go and shouldn’t have to deal with the issue again.

Thanks for your understanding and support!

Will this plugin support Font Awsome 5+?

    • hello33

Unfortunately no, this plugin doesn’t have any plans to support Font Awesome 5 in any capacity due to the way in which Font Awesome 5 uses duplicate unicodes for multiple icons. This is actually the only icon font I’ve ever seen use this method and it makes it incompatible with Divi out of the box (it just displays a bunch of duplicate icons).

I’ve toyed around with different solutions to this problem but in order to really do it right, I’d have to move the plugin to a monthly subscription model because of the sheer amount of work and upkeep it would require to keep the plugin compatible with the Divi framework and the general consensus is that people are not willing to pay a monthly fee for the plugin.

I’m sure that’s not the answer you were hoping to hear. As a response to this though, I created another plugin called Divi Upload Icons which will allow you to upload almost any icon font into Divi and use the icons directly in the builder. While this plugin does NOT support Font Awesome 5 for the same reasons outlined above, it does give you the opportunity to upload literally millions of other icons from other icon sets, including libraries like Fontello and Icomoon into the Divi builder. My hope was that by opening up the availability of other icons, the need for Font Awesome 5 in Divi would be lessened.

For what it’s worth I’m also a Font Awesome 5 Pro license holder and it sucks not being able to use the icons natively in Divi but there isn’t much that can be done with the current Divi framework to accommodate the way Font Awesome 5 has been constructed. If Divi changes this in the future I’ll be the first one to build the plugin, that’s for sure!

Wondering if this plugin has the following icons: Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, Google music. Need them for a musician’s site and don’t want to purchase if these aren’t included.
    Thanks!

    • hello33

Hey Kelly, thanks for the question! This plugin does have icons for Android, Apple, Spotify, Amazon and Google, but not specifically Apple Music or Google Music.
You can see the full list of brand icons for Font Awesome 4.7 here: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/#brand

      • Kelly Morris

Thank you for your reply. Suggestion, I would recommend adding the following logo icons as they would be extremely helpful when creating pages for bands/musicians.

        iTunes
        Apple Music
        Google Play
        Amazon Music
        Pandora

If designers are using the Spotify icon, I can guarantee most will have use for these additional logos. When artists submit music for distribution it is launched through all of these digital platforms. Thank you for the consideration!!!

        • hello33

Hey Kelly, for that plugin, I don’t have control over the icons – it imports Font Awesome 4.7 and the Google Material Icons.

However, if you’re looking for more control of the icons, you should check out my other icon plugin: https://diviuploadicons.com/ which allows to upload literally any web font icon set you can find (or build) on the internet.

With that plugin, if you couldn’t find an icon font that has your icons, you could create your own icon font using a platform like icomoon or something and then upload them and use them directly in the Divi Builder (and visual builder) with full search and filter functions.

  5. Ken Taylor

This review comes from DIVI BUILDER on the ASTRA CHILD of the ASTRA THEME.

I moved from Elementor to Divi builder and was a bit disappointed with the number of icons Divi Builder had plus there was no search. But Alex’s “Divi Icon King” fills a good part of that gap. Plus the plugin is so easy to install and use— Download > activate plugin > add and activate license key > select the icon fonts from three sources:
    1. Enable Font Awesome
    2. Enable Material Icons
    3. Use local versions.
I don’t even need to have an account with Font Awesome or Material Icons. Just ’Save Changes” and you’re in a new “Divi Icon Heaven”.
After installing, I was happy to see the “search” when using the Divi Builder backside editor.

    However, there was a problem.

When I selected the icon only the outer border would show not the inside.

Alex the “awesome” developer helped me troubleshoot the problem. I gave him access to my WP dashboard and a-batta-bing-a-batta-boom, there was my hospital icon. Problem solved!

He has since updated the icon that will incorporate the fix. This is truly an “Icon King” and Alex provides hands-down amazing support.

Thanks so much, Ken! I’m happy to help and thanks for the comment!

I downloaded the Divi Icon King so that I could break up the repetition of default icon designs throughout my website. There really is an icon in here for everything, and I find myself utilizing it wherever and whenever possible. Additionally, when I ran into some snags with the version of Divi Theme I was running, the author of Divi Icon King went above and beyond when it came to troubleshooting and correcting my issue.

Because of the functionality and scope of the icon library, as well as the prompt one-on-one help I received when contacting the author, this is definitely a plugin I would recommend to anyone looking to add more visual diversity to their website.
